Utopia of the Seas is the sixth vessel in Royal Caribbean's groundbreaking Oasis Class of ships. In an unusual twist, it has been deployed to Florida for short cruises to the Bahamas. Typically, cruise lines assign their newest vessels to longer seven-night sailings.

Ships are generally ranked in size by their gross tonnage, a measure of their overall internal volume. For this reason, Icon of the Seas is far and away the biggest cruise ship on the planet with a gross tonnage of 248,663, compared to Utopia's 236,473.

Prices for the ship's inaugural year of sailings currently range from $638 (early 2025) to $1,674 (July 2024) per person.

The ship's upper decks (15 through 18) contain most of Utopia of the Seas' outdoor attractions, such as the Perfect Storm water park, the Ultimate Abyss Slide (which drops down to Deck 6), the Sports Court, Aqua Dunes minigolf, Flowrider, Splashaway Bay and the ship's pools and whirlpools.

By the numbers: Utopia is 236,680 gross tonnage, just 973 more tons than sister ship, the Wonder of the Seas, which is now the third largest ship. Utopia is 1,188 feet long with 18 decks and a 5,668-passenger capacity based on double occupancy.
