Still, there’s dark and then there’s dark, and Obituary is dark. Elvira is almost cartoonishly in love with death, as if Wednesday Addams grew up to write obituaries for a local newspaper.

With a small tidbit of humor, the storyline kept me coming back and thriving to binge till the end. The lead actress was complex, deprived, and left me pining for more of her relatable justice. We all have these people in our lives that we want to deliver kamatic vengince on, yet we don't always know their stories. There are people in our lives, regardless if knowing their full stories the injustice we have witnessed them doul unto us makes the vengince we have for them, that much more justified. Elvira is in love with death and in this economy and job market as a newly hired obituary writer in a small town she does what she needs to make ends meet. Ending people and writing their obituaries then caught up in an older murder mystery that drags in her friends and family and other townsfolk into the mix. She's so simple about how it is her job and she loves it not only needing it. Wit of Ireland and humorous but dark without delving too deep into why.
